To contribute to the development of his city, Ahmed launched FixKairouan, an online and mobile system that enables citizens to report anomalies and invite the municipality to take action. In this way, he promotes civic-mindedness and citizenship, and establishes a relationship between the population and the authorities, for better handling of malfunctions. To date, 62% of complaints have been dealt with. Ahmed’s prospects are to make this project national and why not extend it to the whole of Africa.
