The AppFactory, combining “App” for application and “Factory” for factory, aims to create Windows Phone applications tailored to local needs.

In this context, Microsoft and Tagg-at, the incubator of Synapse, collaborated to facilitate the implementation and success of this competition. Nearly twenty-five (25) participants are working hard to develop around twenty applications. All of these applications address challenges identified in Senegal and cover various sectors, including health, education, public transport, consumer goods, and leisure, to name just a few. The best-performing applications from the competition will be deployed on Windows Phone, where they will be accessible to the public.

Incubateur Tagg-at – Factory

For a period of one (1) month, Synapse’s Tagg-at incubator provided a co-working space for developers taking part in the “AppFactory” competition initiated by Microsoft. Tagg-at helped reveal the talent of these young developers by providing them with workspaces enabling them to work alone, in project teams or in large groups during training and coaching sessions, depending on their needs.

Project: Fiche Sante – Don de sang , This application enables you to keep track of your personal medical history. It also provides information on blood donation procedures and possibilities.

‘I took part in App Factory to develop an application in the tourism sector that allows people to consult the most popular places in the St-Louis region, useful numbers and emergency numbers. Users can also call directly from the application and obtain the geolocation and itinerary of the hotels of their choice. Synapse offered us an ideal working environment where we could concentrate, be inspired and have access to a quality connection to be efficient and productive in the development of our applications. ’
