This first edition of the Challenge program aimed to meet the challenge of employability and entrepreneurship by training 2,200 young people in the regions of Dakar, Thiés, Saint-Louis and Tambacounda. The program targeted young people aged between 16 and 34 in business schools, universities and colleges. It included two (2) types of training:

(1) training to boost employability for 1,500 young graduates, known as the Passeport Pour l’Emploi (PPE) program;
(2) training in entrepreneurial skills development for 700 entrepreneurs, called Empacto.

Passeport Pour l’Emploi

Passeport pour l’emploi aims to improve young people’s employability by offering them training in personal development, job search techniques and professional qualification internships in companies or other related structures such as NGOs, public services, general administration and decentralized local authorities.

Empacto

Empacto is a training and coaching program designed to support 720 potential young entrepreneurs in developing their entrepreneurial skills through a structured approach in which they are called upon to take initiatives, develop projects and manage them.

To facilitate the professional integration of young people, Passeport pour l’emploi has mobilized the private sector and all public employment promotion schemes. Passeport pour l’emploi has also worked closely with the world of education, setting up Business Clubs (Synapse Campus) and training students and alumni from the following universities and business schools: Université Cheikh Anta DIOP, ISM, IAM, ISAAF, ISCOM, CFPC, PEI ITECOM, IPG and IPD Thomas Sankara.

Thanks to our collaborations, companies can benefit from Synapse. We provide a streamlined process for recruiting bright, competent young leaders through our placement platforms. Over 400 companies, including Elton, Microcred and Ecobank, have worked with Synapse to recruit their employees.

What they say!

Dive into the heart of our training program through the inspiring testimonials of those who have lived it. Each story reflects a unique journey, challenges met and opportunities seized. These participants share their experience, their transformation and the impetus they received to realize their ambitions. Their success is our greatest achievement.

“After training with synapse, I found a new way of looking at things (life, development, self and ego). The training gave me self-confidence and made me realize that with a small amount of money you can create something extraordinary. So after the training I worked on a project to reintegrate young people in our locality. The project went well, and I'm very satisfied."

Madia Lo – Education

“This program was an unhoped-for opportunity to turn my dream into reality. It enabled me to work for myself by giving me the tools I needed to set up a micro-business. During the program, I was able to set up a small fashion business with a friend, making jewelry and clothes. For me, this change means financial independence. ”

Mariama Nicole Pouye. – Entrepreneur, Art & Économie créative

“I've always dreamed of launching my own small clothing manufacturing business, but never dared. The exciting experience I've just had has given me the courage to dare. It's an experience of training, communion, exchange, discovery and teamwork. Many of the ideas and projects I'd been struggling to bring to fruition have started to take shape, thanks to the support of Synapse, whom I congratulate in passing. Congratulations to the whole team on a job well done.”
