Presentation
Malamine Badji has always been fascinated by the teaching style of one of his colleagues, Samboudiang Kambaye. At the time, Samboudiang Kambaye was a facilitator with the USAID/EPQ program.
Seeing his way of teaching, he approached him to find out more and try to do the same. “Samboudiang ran his sessions well, with lots of interaction over a set amount of time. I asked him for support and he didn’t hesitate to share his knowledge with me. Two years later, he put me in touch with the director of CDEPS, who automatically informed me of a new program that was to take place in our region: YouthMap Casamance”, he tells us.
So it was that he joined the program, with the aim of gaining new educational experience and helping to train a new generation capable of taking responsibility for themselves.
Testimonial
“The program is very interesting and edifying. It has taught me to better manage my time and the learners during my sessions, because before I used to take a whole day to manage all these constraints. What’s more, the young people are starting to integrate the lessons into their daily lives. I’ve noticed a lot of positive changes in their dress and behaviors such as listening, self-respect and respect for others.”
