Presentation
Mariétou Sall is the daughter of a seasoned farmer, but above all an outstanding teacher of the post-colonial era.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Thiès. Yet her classmates and high school teachers would have predicted a brilliant career as a woman of letters. Indeed, at the age of 13, she won the poetry competition for World Environment Day on June 05, 1999.
Originally from the Senegal River Valley, Marietou naturally chose to put her skills and passion for ICT to good use, to help solve farmers’ problems. Thus was born the idea of the Riz2ARC project, Riz Avant et Après Récolte Consulting.
Thanks to her competitive spirit and the innovative and relevant nature of her project, Mariétou won the women’s digital entrepreneurship competition (CENFEM 2013).
With this project, she benefited from a free 3-month incubation period as part of Tagg-at-Ventures “ICT4Development”.
Her motto: “Aim high, start small”.
Riz2ARC, based in Richard-Toll, aims to facilitate the work of farmers, from growing to harvesting rice.
The structure provides consulting services in agricultural techniques, labor, IT and logistics services in record time and at low cost.
Riz2ARC is an experienced and qualified team of farmers, agricultural engineers and IT specialists.
A new vision of agriculture, Riz2ARC is the first local service by and for farmers.
