For 30 years now, Samboudiang Kambaye has devoted his life to mentoring young people from different social strata. “I’ve always been in the scouting movements and I’ve always loved working with young people because their education is very important to me. I always learn something new at every meeting,” he says.
When it comes to helping young people in difficult situations such as victims of war and landmines, Samboudiang is always ready to commit himself to their cause with passion and love. All he cares about is making people’s lives better on a voluntary basis, without expecting anything in return.
A former trainer with the USAID/EPQ program, Samboudiang has achieved excellent results, enabling many young people to return to school and succeed in their studies.
Today, with the YouthMap Casamance program, he has decided to continue the experience to give members of his community even more opportunities.
