The entrepreneurs and projects over the years.

Since 2003, Synapse has been working to encourage and promote new economic models that redefine the role of businesses in society. Over the years, Synapse has developed unique expertise in this field and achieved significant results. Synapse has supported the realization of more than 350 startups and provided nearly 200 business school students from Senegal, France, Belgium, Canada, and the United States the opportunity to refine their knowledge and sharpen their skills through direct contact with entrepreneurs.

Edition 2005

For the first ESF project, Artemisia formed a partnership with Ashoka, an organization present in nearly 60 countries that manages a global network of social entrepreneurs, to support several of their “innovators” in Mali. Five (5) graduates from HEC – Entrepreneurs traveled to Bamako for a month to work in pairs with these social entrepreneurs, whose goal was to generate revenue for their NGOs.

Edition 2006

The program pairs business school students with young entrepreneurs to work together on the strategic development of the entrepreneurs’ businesses for a period of one to three months. The “Entrepreneurs Sans Frontières” methodology was developed through the organization of three projects: a pilot project in Bamako, a first edition in Paris, and a first edition in Dakar.

“My project involves recycling plastic, glass, fabric and wood objects and transforming them for decorative use.We aim to train and help women living in precarious conditions to ensure their autonomy.I don't regret my choice to come to this program because it enabled me to see that social entrepreneurship does exist in Africa. It was also an opportunity for me to see that there are some excellent projects with excellent ideas. I realized that we all have the same ambition, which is to develop our communitie

The project aims to contribute to food self-sufficiency and combat malnutrition.Innov4Africa was a challenge for us, because it's a pleasure to be selected. With the funding we're going to acquire, it will enable us to activate cutting-edge marketing to make ourselves known nationally and internationally. The program has been very rewarding and has enabled us to carry out a self-assessment, acquire collaborative, societal and organizational leadership skills and create a vast network of African entrepreneurs for ourselves. ”
